Questions & Answers
Straight answers about seats, billing, and what happens when someone rolls off a project. Anything else, ask billing@neo-built.com.
What is the right plan for me?
Free runs 30 days and covers small models: up to 10,000 elements per export from a source model of 25 MiB or less, in IFC4 and OBJ. Core lifts every limit and adds IFC2X3, ifcZIP and STL for solo export work with a named seat. Pro adds glTF/GLB, DXF and ifcXML output, IDS checking, optional reports, and multi-machine seats for coordination across disciplines. Ultra adds OpenUSD and 3D Tiles for heavy models and automation. Choose Teams Standard when your organization should own and reassign Pro seats, Teams Premium when it needs Ultra capabilities or a shared floating pool, and Enterprise for unlimited named use on one agreement.
What are the limits on the 30-day limited trial?
Three: it runs for 30 days from the day you verify your account, each export is capped at 10,000 elements, and the source model must be 25 MiB or smaller. Within those limits it is the real exporter, in IFC4 and OBJ, on one machine. Open-ended use, unlimited model size and export size, IFC2X3, ifcZIP, and STL all start at Core. Free is one verified account per person, commercial use included, supported by the documentation and the community rather than an SLA.
Is there a trial?
There are two individual evaluation options: a 30-day limited trial for small models and, where available, an explicitly activated 14-day Pro or Ultra evaluation without a payment card. The premium evaluation has no small-model size or element caps, produces normal usable outputs, and never starts automatic billing. There is one premium evaluation per account across both tiers. Organization pilots remain separately arranged through sales; floating pools and air-gapped deployment require explicit evaluation terms. Check premium evaluation availability in your account. Check premium evaluation availability in your account.
What counts as a seat?
One named person on your team. The 30-day limited trial uses one machine. Core and Pro allow up to two activated machines for the same named person. Machine activation is not permission to share a seat between people. Premium floating licensing counts simultaneous use instead of people.
Can we move seats between people?
Yes, on team-owned licenses. Seats belong to your organization, and managers reassign them in the account portal when someone rolls off a project - no ticket, no waiting. Reassigning a seat deactivates the previous holder's machines, and each seat can change hands once every 30 days, which is what stops a pool being rotated between more people than it was bought for.
When do we need a Teams plan?
From 5 seats. 5 or more Pro or Ultra seats are sold as Teams rather than as separate individual subscriptions, so the organization owns them and a manager can move them. Core has no team form: a request for 5 or more Core seats is quoted as Teams Standard. Below that, individual plans are the right shape.
What happens if we stop paying after a long run?
After 12 continuous paid calendar months you keep a perpetual fallback license: the version that was current 12 months before you lapsed, at the lowest tier in the qualifying continuous period. An upfront annual payment still requires elapsed paid service time. Qualification also requires an eligible historical release. It applies to team seats as well as individual ones. You stop receiving updates and support. It is version-pinned and excludes floating pools and update-channel pinning; it does not grant the latest version forever.
What is the difference between named seats and the floating pool?
A named seat belongs to one person - on up to two machines with Core or Pro. The floating pool counts how many people are exporting at the same moment: thirty potential users can share five concurrent seats, and crash-safe leases return licenses to the pool on their own.
Can we switch tiers or cancel?
Subscriptions renew monthly or yearly until cancelled. Cancel through Billing in your account before renewal; access continues to the end of the paid period. Choose Monthly or Yearly to purchase Individual and Teams plans online. Use Manage plan in your account to review upgrades or downgrades and any charge or credit before confirming. Exports you have already written are yours to keep either way.
Do you offer volume or multi-year discounts?
Yes. Yearly billing is already 2 to 3 months free against monthly, depending on the plan. Team seats are then banded on the total seat count: Standard starts 13 percent under Pro list at 5 seats and reaches 30 percent at 50, and Premium starts 10 percent under Ultra list and reaches 32 percent. Multi-year agreements save a further 8 percent over 2 years or 15 percent over 3.
Do you have education or non-profit pricing?
Verified students and educators use Pro at no charge. Academic institutions buying team seats receive 50 percent off, and registered non-profits 30 percent. Write to billing@neo-built.com from your institution's address and we will verify it.
Do prices include tax?
Prices are shown before tax. VAT, GST, or sales tax is calculated at checkout from your billing address, and business buyers can enter a tax ID for reverse charge where it applies.
Why are the prices in my currency?
Prism is priced by region, in the local currency where we support it and in US dollars elsewhere, so a seat costs what it should where you work rather than a converted figure. The page and the checkout show the same amount for the region you are buying from. Regional pricing follows the buyer's principal place of business, and orders placed from one region for use in a pricier one are repriced at renewal.
Do you accept purchase orders?
Individual and Teams plans are purchased online with monthly or yearly billing, and invoices are available in your account. Contact sales for Enterprise invoicing and custom payment terms.
Where does Paramora Prism™ run?
Locally, as a plugin for Navisworks Manage 2025, 2026 and 2027 on Windows. Your models never leave your workstation; every license attaches to a Neobuilt account and is managed from the portal.
